More than two years after their last Italian concert, the Deftones are pleased to announce a new exclusive Italian date scheduled for next summer: the band will perform Tuesday 23 June 2020 on the occasion of the GruVillage 105 Music Festival a Grugliasco (TO). Tickets will be available from 10 a.m. on 27 November on circuits Ticketmaster e Ticketone.
An evening not to be missed to sing the greatest hits of the Deftones which, since their inception, have united two seemingly different paths by challenging the limits of musical genres, incorporating elements psychedelics and close to the shoegaze into angry pieces. About their ability to experiment, the Los Angeles Times wrote: "Hard rock is nourished by conflict and chaos, and there is no band that has created a better mix of aggression and beauty than the Deftones". Not only were the media won over by their energy, the Deftones are also deeply appreciated by critics and, in 2001, they won a Grammy Award at best metal performance for Elitetrack contained in the album White Pony (Maverick, 2000). Also their most recent record, Gore (Reprise Records, 2016)received such good reviews that it was included by Rolling Stone in the ranking of 20 best metal albums of 2016. At the moment, all that fans have to do is wait for the new album, which the band is already working on.
I Deftones are a band alternative metal US, formed in Sacramento in 1988. Together with the Kornare considered the initiators of the nu metalbeing one of the most innovative and influential groups in the genre. They are composed of Chino Moreno (vocals, guitar), Stephen Carpenter (guitar), Frank Delgado (keyboards, sampling), Abe Cunningham (drums) and Sergio Vega (bass). During their career, they have released eight studio albums, one covers album, three EPs and two compilations, selling more than ten million records worldwide.
