On the occasion of the band's 20th anniversary, Almamegretta&Raiz will be together again in a tour that will give the audience of "Demo-Suona" an unmissable concert

Almamegretta & Raiz, will celebrate the band's 20th anniversary with a tour that will take them to perform in all major Italian and European cities. On Saturday 3 September 2011, they will stop at Milan's Palasharp on the occasion of "Demo-Suona", a musical event that will animate the Festa del PD from 1 to 19 September.
Almamegretta, one of the most innovative bands on the Italian underground scene in the last 20 years, have to their credit more than 200,000 copies sold, 2,500 concerts and numerous collaborations with international artists such as Massive Attack, Bill Laswell, Planet Funk and many others. Raiz, the historic singer and co-founder of Almamegretta, with three solo albums behind him, has continued to collaborate with the other members over the years and has rejoined the band in many live performances, including the celebrations for their 20-year career, which since last May have taken the band on a tour that is touring the main Italian cities and will also stop in some European countries. The shows that Almamegretta and Raiz want to treat their fans to are characterised by separate performances in which each will play their most recent repertoire, and then share the stage all together to listen again to the classics from the past that have made the band internationally famous. The various shows of the tour will see the presence of many of the protagonists who over the years have contributed to the ever-growing myth of Almamegretta, a band that in the 1990s managed to bring to Italy a new musical language capable of influencing thousands of musicians and insiders.
