Two dates not to be missed for hard rock fans, with two leading names from the Scandinavian garage-punk scene. Sharing the stage Dregen, historic guitarist of Backyard Babies and Hellacopterswho presents his solo project to the Italian public, and the Imperial State Electric by Nicke Anderssonformer frontman of the legendary Hellacopters.
Dregen e Imperial State Electric will perform the 13 December 2013 at the R'n'R Arena in Romagnano Sesia (NO) and on 14 December at Rock Planet in Pinarella di Cervia (RA).
Since the 1990s, Sweden has proved to be a hotbed of rock talent in its many incarnations, giving birth to numerous bands that in a few years have become genuine institutions even beyond its borders. A perfect example is the Hellacoptersband founded in 1994 by guitaristDregen -century Andreas Tyrone Svensson, already in the Backyard Babies - and singer and guitarist Nicke Andersson, then drummer of the death-metal band the Entombed.
The Hellacopters published in 1996 the dazzling debut '.Supershitty to the Max', which won a Swedish Grammy thanks to its irresistible mix of punk'n'roll, seventies sounds, fast-paced choruses and catchy riffs. After the second album 'Payin´ the Dues"of 1997 and a tour in support of the Kiss, however, Dregen abandoned the band to devote himself entirely to his first creation, the Backyard Babies.
From then on, the two bands continued their careers in parallel, gaining numerous awards and holding the Swedish rock flag high around the world, until the break-up of the Hellacopters in 2008 and the beginning of an indefinite break for the Backyard Babies.
This December Dregen e Nicke Andersson are back together on stage after 15 years, ready to shake Europe to the sound of rock'n'roll again. The former, with his eponymous solo album, out now on Universal, the latter, with the Imperial State Electric, a new band featuring members of Hellacopters e The Datsunsand is about to release its third album 'Reptile Brain Music".
