Mr. E and his band back in Italy tomorrow for the four dates. The last time the American band came to Italy was last autumn, when they stopped off at the Conservatorio di Milano with their 'Eels with Strings' Tour, for an unforgettable and highly successful concert with a string quartet.
Ironically, this tour is called "No Strings Attached and makes it very clear that this will be a different show, a return to the band's rock roots.
The tour kicked off on 25 May in Los Angeles and travelled to several countries in the US before reaching Canada and Europe. A final stage is also planned, first in Australia and then again in August in the USA, where Mr E & Co. will be among the stars of Loolapalooza in Chicago. The first of the Eels' 20 European dates was in London on 23 June, followed by other dates in Germany, Scotland, Ireland and France, and they will close the European phase in Italy.
The band's latest album is Blinkin' Lights And Other Revelations'. (2005), an album of 38 tracks. Due to the length of the album, Mr E said with his usual sarcasm that a single tour would not be enough to promote it. Hence the reason for this "In Person: No strings attached'.
