Almost two years after their last Italian concert, the Wolfmother return to our peninsula to present their new studio work Victorious (Universal Music)the only Italian appointment of the Gypsy Caravan Tour is set for Sunday 8 May 2016 to theAlcatraz, Milan and will be introduced by the opening act of Electric Citizen. After bursting onto the American rock scene with their debut album, Sateen, the Electric Citizen - Ross Dolan (guitar), Laura Dolan (vocals), Randy Proctor (bass) and Nate Wagner (drums) - are now ready to unveil their second recording, Higher Time, to be released on 13 May by RidingEasy Records. Electric Citizen will accompany Andrew Stockdale's band on all European legs of the Gypsy Caravan Tour.
A new album, Victorious, and a new tour for the WolfmotherThis year they are celebrating sixteen years of activity studded with great awards including entry into the UK Music Hall Of Fame and participation in all major world festivals including Coachella, Lollapalooza, Reading and Leedsas well as having opened concerts by rock icons Aerosmith and AC/DC. The frontman Andrew Stockdale began working on the album last January in his recording studio in New South Wales: in addition to singing on the new album, he recorded the guitar and bass tracks and was joined by drummers Josh Freese (Nine Inch Nails, Bruce Springsteen, A Perfect Circle) and Joey Waronker (Beck, Gnarls Barkley, REM)and the award-winning producer Brendan O'Brien (Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Bruce Springsteen). The result, in the words of Stockdale, is definitely interesting: 'We wanted a full-bodied sound, balanced between garage energy and great production work. It's wild and energetic, perfect for a festival!".
