In an era when pedalboards, laptops and sampled sounds have become the order of the day, Eric Steckel goes against the grain and takes his listeners back to the days when guitars were played loudly through huge amplifiers. Hailed by many as the rising star of blues rock, Eric gives powerful performances that have mesmerised audiences in over 25 countries. Few young guitarists can boast the impressive resume of Eric Steckel. His debut album A Few Degrees Warmer was recorded live in April 2002, when he was only 11 years old. Shortly afterwards he participated in the Sarasota Blues Festival of 2003, where his set is the talk of the town: before the end of the evening, the British blues rock legend John Mayall presents him as the youngest guitarist ever to take the stage with the Bluesbreakers. The collaboration with Mayall continued in 2004, when Eric opened his tour in Northern Europe, and in 2007 he participated in the recording of Road Dogs.
After a 20-year career on stage and in the studio, Eric is committed to offering his distinctive blend of blues metal to all six-string enthusiasts around the world.
