Direct from Portland, Oregon, the string band that has bridged the gap between traditional folk and alternative music comes to Italy for two stops. I Bridge City Sinners will be at the Slaughter Club in Paderno Dugnano (MI) Friday 29 July 2022 and the festival Destroy La Bassa in Gambulaga (FE) Saturday 30 July. Native to the misty pine-covered hills of the Pacific Northwest, the Bridge City Sinners range from prohibition-era jazz to Appalachian death folk. This traditional string band bends the concept of musical genre and has participated in festivals of all kinds, from Punk Rock Bowling at Muddy Roots, passing through the Bluegrass String Summit in Oregon. The line-up began its journey as a busker band on the pavements of the United States and has now landed on its first international tours. I Sinners are true to the DIY ethos and release their albums on their own label, Flail Records; the latest work is entitled Unholy Hymns and was released on 13 August, preceded by the single Pick Your Poison. With extraordinary musical talent and a punk attitude on stage, this is definitely not a band to be missed.
In addition to the Bridge City Sinnersbetween 29 and 31 July the sixth edition of Destroy The Lowlands will host a series of hardcore punk music giants: Youth of Today, Chaser, Klasse Kriminale and many others.
