In Ferrara on 3 and 4 September 2021 a new music festival comes to life, taking inspiration from the Ten Days Played - which took place at the Castello Sforzesco in Vigevano from 2010 to 2012 and with a touring edition in Milan and hinterland in 2013 - following the direction of musical quality, sustainability, multidisciplinarity, evocative location and attention to detail in every aspect of the event.
Comfort Festival™️ was born from an idea of Claudio Trotta's from a few years ago, before the pandemic that stopped the whole world of togetherness 18 months ago and is currently in a sort of limbo between being and not being.
A key element is the search for the COMFORT.
Starting from spending 25 euros a day or 40 euros for a two-day pass to listen to excellent live music with the presence of more than twenty Italian and international artists. I tickets for the festival - both for single day and thesubscription for the two days - will soon be on sale on the circuits Ticketmaster, Ticketone e Vivaticket. Each spectator will be able to choose whether to use the new curtain areas and stretch out in comfort in the area in front of the stages, or enjoy the show from the classic session. There will also be several areas where you can lay out your own blanket and some relaxation areas with deckchairs and tables, plus an area dedicated to people with disabilities.
The COMFORT of a beautiful location, where only about four thousand people a day will be able to share not only the live Music of the COMFORT Stage, but also small acoustic, literary and theatrical performances that will take place on the A.R.M.O.N.I.A. Stage curated by Slow Music, to rediscover the real sense of enjoying beauty in all its forms and the intimate well-being it can give us when experienced properly.
The Bassani Urban Park
Dedicated to the writer Giorgio Bassani, the park lies between the city and the Po, an ancient hunting reserve of the Este family. It is made up of a series of cycle and pedestrian paths, meadow and lake areas. It is easily accessible both by cars both with the public transport.
The festival is structured on two stages: the Comfort Stagededicated to concerts, and the A.R.M.O.N.I.A. stage by Slow Musicwhich will offer a series of small acoustic and theatrical performances as well as literature.
Slow Music ETS is a non-profit association established in 2018, born from an idea of Claudio Trotta, founder of Barley Arts. Fifteen are the founding members, who have decided to join and contribute to Slow Music. As highlighted in the Manifesto, one of the founding acts of the Movement, Slow Music is a cultural project that proposes the philosophy of fair and ethical, through education and training programmes related to music, to making music, to listening to it in depth, to the management of projects and events in the musical world to be shared in a fair relationship with listeners. In 2019 and 2020 it successfully brought to the mountains of Lombardy, in collaboration with Lombardy Region and ERSAFthe first two editions of the project A.R.M.O.N.I.A.., with a total of 24 hours of live entertainment, over 11 days and 6 stages, more than 130 Italian and international musicians and artists, free admission for the public, in wonderful open spaces that deserve to be increasingly valued and frequented. With the aim of taking care of everything that the acronym indicates: Environment Resources Music Opportunities Nature Identity Art. Events with a minimum environmental impact, plastic free, economically sustainable, respectful of available resources and of the territory where they take place, for an attentive and curious public, with the contribution of young people who participate in the organisation and are included in the work environment, involving zero km collaborators in each place, with attention and space for all the arts.

"The Urban Park is a new location that will be enlivened by music by national and international artists, to be listened to surrounded by greenery, in a large, evocative, well-equipped area. A unique place on which we are working to make it more and more accessible and to make it a setting for major events. We are happy to be able to collaborate with Claudio Trotta, whose name and history are linked to international artists of the highest level".
"Comfort Festival™ has all the makings of one of the most qualifying events, at national level, of this summer of recovery". - says Councillor Marco Gulinelli. "The ingredients are all there: a prestigious name like Claudio Trotta, a unique area, Bassani Park, great singers and bands on stage, and a very wide range of music and literature.
"The Fondazione Teatro Comunale di Ferrara - emphasises the theatre director Abbado, Moni Ovadia - willingly makes its technical and organisational structures available to organise this short but intense festival, strongly desired by the Municipality of Ferrara and proposed by the further Barley Arts by Claudio Trotta, a music management structure with a great history and undisputed professionalism. At this historic moment, Ferrara is showing a great desire to get out of the isolation of Covid and all the social fallout that comes with it; it is doing so in the best and most effective way: with culture and entertainment".
