Established in 2007, the Uncle Bard & The Dirty Bastards They offer a unique blend of folk rock and traditional Irish music. Uillean pipes, tenor banjo, mandolin, Irish flute: there are few bands in the folk rock scene capable of competing with the knowledge that the Bastards have of Irish music, society and culture. This boundless love has made the Bastards were the first Italian band to perform at the Dublin Irish Festival in Dublin, Ohio, the most important Irish festival in the United States. In recent years, the band has played over 400 concerts worldwide, participating in events such as Rock the Ring e Toggenburg Irish Festival (Switzerland), Aymon Folk Festival (France), Sjock Festival (Belgium) and many others, as well as having shared the stage with Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly, Kensington, Volbeat, Frank Turner e The Dubliners. The latest album The Men Beyond The Glass, released in April 2020, transcends the boundaries of Celtic rock and makes room for new sounds and a unique mix of Irish Trad and folk rock.
Since 1993 Gens d'Ys is synonymous with Irish dancing in Italy. Founded by a group of friends, it soon became the first Italian academy dedicated to the traditional dances of the Emerald Isle. Thanks to the contribution of new elements, the participation in lessons held by Irish teachers and, above all, those of Sinead Venables, vice world champion, Gens d'Ys is now a branched reality throughout Italy. The Academy has for many years enjoyed the patronage of the Irish Embassy in Italyof several successive ministries over the years and, since 2011, of the of the Irish National Tourist Boardof which he is the Official Testimonial.
