After his experience with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra (RCO), Fink is back on tour and expanding his family on stage. At Milan's Magazzini Generali on 11 November we'll find his trusted drummer Mr T and newcomers Erica Nockalls, who will be playing various stringed instruments, and Rae Morris (who will also be supporting Fink with her solo show) on keyboards.
"Perfect DarknessFink's latest unreleased album, which encapsulates all of Fink's diverse world of acoustic music and electronic experimentation, has been described by Stereoboard (an online music portal) as 'an exceptional auditory experience that everyone should have'. "Perfect Darkness' marked the extraordinary year that is immortalised in the album. live album 'Wheels Turn Beneath My Feet', thirteen tracks recorded on stages around the world, to be released in Italy in early October.
Fink got into music as an electronic music DJ. For eight years he worked in that field and recorded many demos with tracks performed both individually and in collaboration with other artists, always searching for new sounds and constantly overlapping different genres. His remarkable vocal and compositional skills then led him to produce different works, no longer as an electronic music DJ, but as an indie rock DJ. The new path he took led him to make himself known to the general public as a guitarist, singer and complete musician. His shows are characterised by rich arrangements that mix electronics with traditional post-rock instruments: drums, strings, electronic and vocal samples. His collaborations with Professor Green in the song 'Closing The Door' and with John Legend in 'Green Light', among others, place him among the most interesting alternative musicians.
Furthermore, on 31 May 2008, in front of 41,000 spectators, Fink performed at San Siro as a support artist for the highly anticipated Negramaro concert. Four more dates in Italy followed, two in Milan (Salumeria della Musica and Carroponte) and two in Rome (Evangelical Methodist Church and Villa Ada).
This is Fink's first time at Magazzini Generali.
