FOCUS ON : THOMAS TRUAX, OPENING ACT OF THE DRESDEN DOLLS CONCERT

Thomas Truax from New York City (pronounced Troo-asks) can be described as a foundling as well as inventor of curious instruments he built himself, such as his now legendary "Hornicator". When he plays more traditional instruments, such as the guitar, he is often accompanied by a Flintstones-era drum machine, named "Sister Spinster"he has personally constructed. All this blends together to create exceptionally crafted, witty and often touching songs.

Splendid magazine describes him as one of the 5/10 best singer-songwriters in the world you've never heard of...An exceptional talent, unique and unparalleled, yet accessible to even the most distracted listener'. His second album 'Audio Addiction" is out now on Psycho Teddy Records while his single 'The Wowtown News' is on air on Resonance FM in London.
