GARBAGE, G3 (SATRIANI, VAI, MORSE) AND MIKA COMPLETE THE '10 DAYS' PROGRAMME

A series of great live concerts in a setting of rare beauty, the Castle of Vigevano, on the outskirts of Milan. A series of literary encounters. A celebration of quality artisan gastronomy at Isola del Gusto. A festival aiming at excellence in all its forms: this is the philosophy of "10 Giorni Suonati", the festival of music, words and flavours produced and organised by Barley Arts.

On the strength of two very successful editions with over 40,000 spectators and artists of great depth in every musical genre (Al Jarreau, ZZ Top, Black Crowes, John Mellencamp to name but a few), "10 Giorni Suonati" returns in June and July 2012 in the splendid setting of Castello Sforzesco and in collaboration with the City of Vigevano, reconfirming itself for the third consecutive year among the most appetising events in the summer of festivals. The musical programme of "10 Giorni Suonati" 2012 brings to the Castle leading names of the international rock scene, who in this context will be able to hold their concerts without having to worry about timetables or volume restrictions that are detrimental to the audience's proper enjoyment of the show.

The festival opens on 13 June under the banner of the most classic and powerful southern rock with Lynyrd Skynyrd, for decades an icon of the genre and still a youth legend, in Italy on a single date after having sold out the Palasharp in 2009. Opening act for the evening will be another historic band, Molly Hatchet, and the Italian Betta Blues Society, winners of the 2011 "Edison, Change The Music" contest. On 26 June, the 10 Giorni Suonati stage will host the energy of Incubus, idols of crossover in the 1990s, but able to renew themselves over the years like few other bands. This is followed on 10 July by Wolfmother, talented and modern epigones of Seventies-style psychedelic hard-rock, and on the 11th by Butch Vig and Shirley Manson's Garbage, whose new album 'Not Your Kind Of People' is expected to be released soon. On 19 July, it is the turn of Lenny Kravitz, back in Italy with his 'Black And White Italy Tour', which showed him at the end of 2011 as inspired and funky as we have not seen him in years, accompanied by a compact groove band. And speaking of groove, before Lenny on stage will be Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue, a musician capable of "surfing" from jazz to rap, passing through R'n'B with the innate class of someone who has music running through his veins. The three final dates of the festival are consecutive: it begins on 22 July with a true event, G3, who for the occasion arrive on the 10 Giorni Suonati stage on a single date and in the most luxurious line-up ever seen, with Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Steve Morse, regular guitarist of Deep Purple. On 23 July it's the turn of James Morrison's refined black-pop, preceded on stage by the Italians Musicanti di Grema (other winners of the "Edison Change The Music contest"), waiting for a literally explosive finale: on 24 July it will be Mika who will close 10 Giorni Suonati, in concert two years after his resounding success at the Forum di Assago with one of his marvellous, amazing and colourful shows. Even in his case, the one at Castello di Vigevano is the only live date in Italy for the summer of 2012.

On the occasion of some of the scheduled concerts (certainly those of Incubus, Garbage, Lenny and Mika), Barley Arts has taken steps to guarantee a special train service for the public who wish to take advantage of it, which will connect Vigevano Station to Porta Genova Station in Milan at the end of the evening. The service will be on payment and on advance sale through Ticketone (therefore not on the Railways portal).
