GARBAGE: opening of GIORGIENESS in Florence and PIETRO BERSELLI in Padua

Last June they took the stage at the Fabrique in Milan presenting their new album Strange Little Birds and now the Garbage are preparing to return for two new winter dates, Wednesday 2 November at the Obihall in Florence e Thursday 3 November at the Gran Teatro Geox in Padua. For the opening act have chosen the Giorgieness for the Tuscan stage and Pietro Berselli for the one in Veneto. You can buy tickets for the concerts on the circuit Ticketone.

Milan-based rock band led by front-woman Giorgie D'Eraclea, the Giorgieness will present live the first full length The Right Distancepublished in April on the Woodworm. Active since 2011 and authors of an energetic, scratchy and immediate sound, over the years the Giorgieness have shared the stage with international artists such as The Kooks and Savages, as well as numerous musicians from the Italian scene such as Morgan, Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti, Fast Animals And Slow Kids and Il Pan Del Diavolo.

Singer-songwriter from Brescia by origin and Padua by adoption, Pietro Berselli debuts with its first EP Weak (No Rules) in April 2015, a work recorded solo, without a band, just electric guitar, vocals and some timpani. He then joined a band with which Berselli aims to search for broader sounds and atmospheres influenced by the Post Rock and New Wave scene. Together with the band he has opened concerts by Levante, Calcutta, Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti, Gazebo Penguins.

Among the most popular bands on the international alternative rock scene thanks to the unique nuances of the sound, the provocative aesthetic vision and the charismatic figure of the front-woman Shirley Manson, i Garbage released their sixth studio album on 10 June Strange Little Birdsfour years after the previous Not Your Kind Of People, marking a return to the sounds of the acclaimed self-titled debut album. The album was made by collecting a wide range of cues, starting with fan letters and ending with the band members' favourite albums: "the main guideline was to keep it fresh and listen to instinct for both lyrics and music"says Shirley Manson.

Active since 1995, last year the Garbage celebrated the 20th anniversary of their debut Garbage with the Deluxe Edition of the record and the 20 Years Queer World Tourwith which they have recorded a long series of sold-out shows all over the world. Over the years, the band has topped the international charts with every album in its repertoire, selling over 12 million records worldwide and performing in more than 35 countries.
