GATEWAY TO SPACE, BOOM OF VISITORS: ALREADY 4,000 IN THE FIRST WEEKEND

Spacey' start for 'GATEWAY TO SPACE - A Memorable Adventure'., the exhibition opened on Friday 16 May at the Udine Fairwhich brings the instruments and technologies of man's great journey to conquer the Moon to Europe for the first time. 4,000 visits is the figure for the first weekend of the programme, the exhibition is in fact open from Friday to Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. (last entrance at 6 p.m.) and will remain open until next 31 July, in pavilion 6 of the Udine Exhibition Centre. Truly remarkable numbers that confirm the great potential of this event for the City of Udine and the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region. A constant flow of people crowded the city's exhibition centre, especially on Sunday, when hundreds of people were already present at the opening of the gates.

A trend that started positively as early as Friday, a day most suitable for groups and school classes, the exhibition in fact has great educational value being an excellent example of Edutainment, successfully mixing learning and entertainment. Gateway to Space is a very heterogeneous audience, attracting enthusiasts of the subject, families, young and old, driven by the desire to visit an extraordinary collection of more than 100 pieces, all from theU.S. Space & Rocket Center of Nasa. Very popular in these first days are the four types of simulators in the exhibition. The visitor can in fact pilot a fighter F18 and engage in an aerial battle, with Land the Shuttle can land a spacecraft, with the MAT (Multi Axis Trainer) will experience the disorientation one feels during a whirlwind re-entry into the Earth's atmosphere and finally, with the Five Degrees of Freedom, will experience a flight in a lunar capsule in zero gravity. Among the most popular attractions is the Sojuz and the space station MirSoviet side, the laboratory Destiny of International Space Station and of course the two specimens of MoonstoneThese priceless pieces are estimated to be around 4 billion years old, older than 99.9 % of all the rocks that make up Planet Earth. A great start worthy of a great event; Gateway to Space, coming to Udine for its European debut, is organised by Barley Arts and Azalea Promotion, in collaboration with Fiera di Udine. After the grand opening and the first positive weekend, the appointment is therefore renewed in Friday 23 Mayfor another three days dedicated to space travel, its wonders and secrets.
