"UFO. I DOSSIER ITALIANI', THE BOOK THAT HAS ALREADY BECOME THE PUBLISHING CASE OF THE YEAR WILL BE PRESENTED IN UDINE AT THE GATEWAY TO SPACE EXHIBITION
First of the exhibition's side events announced today Gateway to Space - A Memorable Adventureunprecedented event taking place at the Udine Fair European premiere, displaying a collection of over 100 pieces from theU.S. Space & Rocket Center of NASA. Gateway to Space is preparing for a long weekend dedicated to space adventure, it will be opened by Friday to Sunday, from 11.00 at 19.00with the addition of the special opening on Monday 2 June. Central topic, man's adventure in Space, through the instruments and technologies that were protagonists of that journey.
There could not have been a more suitable context for the presentation of the book that has already become the publishing case of the year, 'UFO. The Italian Dossiers"written by journalists Lao Petrilli (RDS, La Stampa) and Vincenzo Sinapi (ANSA), already in its fifth reprint and able to sell more than 15,000 copies in its first weeks, arousing great interest among national media and fans of the genre. The important event will be held Saturday 7 June at 17.00in the exhibition spaces Gateway to Spacein the presence of author Lao Petrilli, who will illustrate the work. "UFOs. Italian dossiers"deals with the subject of unidentified flying object sightings in a rigorous and objective manner, reporting on important documents never published before, from the archives of the Air Force, and testimonies collected by law enforcement agencies. In a recent interview, Petrilli himself said: 'The book was born out of our journalistic curiosity. The authors were aware of the existence of the institutional archive that collects documentation on 'Italian UFOs'. After the necessary enquiries to the Air Force, the two journalists were granted access to the records, which made it possible to encapsulate in the book most of the episodes recorded in the Italian skies. The book contains numerous cases of sightings that occurred in our region, images of which will be shown during the presentation, along with reconstructions and documentary photographs.
On the occasion of the book presentation, it will be possible to visit the exhibition upon payment of the entrance fee. An event within an event and a unique opportunity to admire the extraordinary collection of memorabilia, pieces of space stations, reproductions of rockets, clothing and accessories, the two lunar stones, the 4 types of simulators to experience different situations of life in space, and much more.
