GATEWAY TO SPACE, THE GREAT SPACE EXHIBITION RETURNS TO UDINE ON FRIDAY

After 4,000 admissions in the first three days, the extraordinary NASA collection recounting man's journey into space is once again open to visitors.

It will remain open until 31 July, Friday to Sunday. Special opening on 2 June.

 After the big start, 4,000 visits in the first three days, reopens Friday 23 May the space exhibition 'GATEWAY TO SPACE - A Memorable Adventure'.which brings the instruments and technologies of man's great journey to conquer the Moon to Europe for the first time. Until Sunday, at the Udine Exhibition Centre (Hall 6 West Entrance) with opening hours from 11.00 at 19.00the extraordinary collection of over 100 pieces, all from the U.S. Space & Rocket Center of NASA which includes memorabilia, reproductions of rockets, space stations, clothing and accessories, meteorite particles and much more. A complete excursus recounting man's journey into space, starting with the first imaginary visions of Jules Verne, who wrote the book 'From the Earth to the Moon' in 1865, passing by figures of fundamental importance in the concrete development of this dream, such as Wernher von Braun, a German scientist and engineer naturalised in the USA, considered to be the progenitor of the American space programme. From the space race to the actual pieces that make up the collection, for a successful example of "Edutainment"a mix of entertainment and education suitable for all ages. On the organisational side, there are already many bookings for this weekend too, mostly from schools and groups of enthusiasts of the subject. Many foreigners also arrived during the first days of the exhibition, testifying to the great potential that this event can have for the city of Udine and the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region. In addition to the pieces of Sojuzof the Mirof the International Space Stationof the Saturn V and theOrionThe four types of simulators in the exhibition were very popular in the first days, making the visit highly interactive and exciting. Great curiosity was aroused by the two original examples of Moonstoneone of which is even touchable, priceless pieces, part of the mere 382 kg of rock recovered during the six Apollo missions. The appointment with space, its wonders and mysteries is therefore renewed from Friday 23 May, for the whole weekend, at the Udine Fairgrounds.
