Fresh from a long summer on the road, the German indie band Giant Rooks today announces the first thirty stages of How Have You Been - The Tourwhich also include a only date in Italy Wednesday 10 January 2024 at Alcatraz in Milan and will accompany the release of the new album of the same name, scheduled for 2 February on Island Records/Irrsinn/Vertigo Germany. I tickets for the concert will be available on Ticketone e Ticketmaster from 10am on Friday 29 September.
Born in 2015 in Hamm, Germany, the Giant Rooks are conquering the global indie scene. The band consists of Frederik Rabe (voice), Finn Schwieters (guitar), Luca Göttner (low), Jonathan Wischniowski (keyboards) and Finn Thomas (drums). The line-up has reached hundreds of millions of hits thanks to hits such as Wild Stare e Tom's Diner - the latter in collaboration with AnnenMayKantereit - and racked up a string of sold-out shows in Germany, the US and Europe. The debut album in 2020, RookeryIt now has more than 200 million total streams on digital platforms and has landed at the top of Spotify's global charts.
The announcement of the new tour is accompanied by the release of a single, For You. The band stated: 'This song holds a special place in our hearts. It is the opening track of our second album, and the first one we wrote for this new work. We already play it live at our concerts and we are really surprised by how much our fans like it. We are really happy that it can now be heard all over the world!".
The history of the Giant Rooks is deeply rooted in the live dimension, and the band has already built up a loyal following in North America, Europe and the UK. Their last headlining tour saw them perform in front of a total of 75,000 spectators, and they have just concluded a busy summer festival season including performances at the Lollapalooza Chicago, Headline Dockville Festival, Rock am Ring / Rock im Park, Rock For People, Sziget Festival, Pukkelpop, Reading/Leeds and many others.
