No other musician has been able to mix the best elements of hard rock, soul and funk like Glenn Hughes. His talent is also universally recognised by his peers, so much so that Stevie Wonder cited him as his favourite singer. Throughout his life, Hughes has been influenced by a wide range of genres, from British hard rock to the Beatles, and even American soul and rhythm'n'blues from Motown e Stax.

Success for Hughes came in the early 1970s with the Trapeze and was reconfirmed in '73 when he joined the Deep Purple to replace the bass player Roger Glover. Since 1992, Hughes has undertaken numerous solo world tours and more recently joined Joe Bonamassa, Derek Sherinian (keyboardist of Dream Theater) e Jason Bonham (son of the legendary drummer of the Led Zeppelin John Bonham) to form the supergroup Black Country Communion and, again in the company of the latter and guitarist Andrew Watt, the band California Breed.

Despite a busy schedule, in 2011 Glenn Hughes found time to publish the bestseller "Glenn Hughes: The Autobiography - From Deep Purple To Black Country Communion".co-written with author Joel McIver, which contains valuable contributions from rock legends such as Tony Iommi, David Coverdale, Ozzy Osbourne e Tom Morelloas well as a preface by Lars Ulrich.
