We are pleased to announce the start of our collaboration with the Statuto, founding fathers of Italian ska, joining the family Barley Arts.
On their 2021 summer tour, Statuto will present a setlist of all their best-known songs and a few never-before-played live tracks from their 15 studio albums in 38 years of activity.
Over intense rhythms with power pop, soul and ska sounds, the band proposes lyrics with social themes in a direct, ironic and decidedly credible way, always in elegance and with their usual impeccable style, both aesthetically and technically-musically, skilfully mixing commitment and fun, making them suitable for any type of stage and live situation.
Now approaching 40 years of career, the band consisting of the historical members Oskar (voice), Naska (battery), Rudy (bass) and the recent entry of Enrico Bontempi (guitar) has had important components such as Xico i.e. the maestro Ezio Bosso on bass or Junior Davide Rossi (violinist and arranger for Coldplay, Verve and many others) at the keyboard and has performed on all kinds of stages: from the countless benefit concerts for factory workers in difficulty to the historic Sanremo Festival, from the Plaza de la Revoluciòn in Havana, Cuba to Festivalbar, Cantagiro and the Primo Maggio concert in Rome's Piazza San Giovanni; from the concert at the Delle Alpi stadium to celebrate Torino's Coppa Italia victory to the benefit concerts for ultras fans from the curves all over Italy and Europe.
"Claudio Trotta was the dream man for us fans of national and international stars. In our early days we were already working for him, but as order service at concerts in Turin and now, we Statuto are on the dream promoter's roster. Yes, it's never too late to see dreams come true! Thank you Claudio and thank you Barley Arts." – oSKAr
"If a band, formed in '83, after almost 40 years and 20 albums maintains its artistic integrity, I think there is a profound reason, and I think it is identity.
Very happy that Francesco Venuto and the band have decided to share their future with Barley Arts, who I am sure will be able to welcome them worthily." - Claudio Trotta
