HANNAH WILLIAMS & THE AFFIRMATIONS: the queen of British soul comes to ITALY

Hannah Williams will be in concert in Italy this autumn together with his band The Affirmations for three dates: Thursday 28 November at Space211 by Turin, Friday 29 November at Locomotiv Club by Bologna e Saturday 30 November at Biko by Milan. The artist will present his new album live, 50 Foot Woman (Record Kicks, 2019), to be released worldwide on 18 October. This record was produced by Shawn Lee, American musician, producer and multi-instrumentalist who boasts collaborations with the likes of Amy Winehouse, Lana Del Rey e Alicia Keysrecorded entirely in analogue at Ata Studios of Leeds, between vintage soul atmospheres, gospel e funkThe album marks the artistic maturity of the project, capturing all the explosive charge of the band in an exemplary manner. Perhaps it is no coincidence that Hannah, speaking about the album, states: "I have never been so proud of anything in my entire career as with this album."

In 2016, Late Nights & Heartbreaktitle track of the penultimate album by Hannah Williams & The Affirmationswas sampled by Jay-Z for 4:44, the title track of the US rapper's album, catapulting Hannah Williams in the spotlight of half the world. One day Hannah answers the phone and on the other end of the line is Jay-Z himself: her album ended up in the hands of the rapper's producer while he was looking for material to work on and from that moment on, nothing has been the same for Hannah. A nomination for the Grammy Awards in the category Song of the Year and a non-stop world tour featuring the singer and her band, from Blue Note by Tokyo, at Summer Stage Central Park by New York Citythrough the Toronto Jazz Festival and theEurosonic.
