JAMES ALLAN'S GLASVEGAS ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM AND TOUR

Two years after their last performance at Milan's Magnolia, Glasvegas return to Italy on the occasion of the release of their third album, 'Later...When The TV Turns To Static', which will be released on 2 September by BMG in collaboration with Go Wow Records, the label founded by the band. Glasvegas will be in concert on 29 November at New Age in Roncade (TV) and on 30 November at Magazzini Generali in Milan.

After some exclusive showcases in the UK in June, the Scottish band, which became famous in 2008 with the single"Daddy's Gone, is ready for a new tour, which will visit major European cities this autumn to present the long-awaited new studio work, 'Later...When The TV Turns To Static'.

A preview of the new album was already offered on 20 April on Record Store Day, with the track 'I'd Rather Be Dead (Than Be With You)', while 'If', the first official single, has already been hailed by many as a brilliant return to their roots. Recorded in the band's hometown of Glasgow, the album also sees James Allan, singer and mastermind of the band, as producer and at the mixing desk.

With 'Later...When The TV Turns To Static' Glasvegas return two years after their second full-length 'Euphoric///Heartbreak\', an electro-rock behemoth composed under the California sun. The title reflects the intimist mood from which the album was born, the feeling of incompleteness and loneliness one gets when the late-night TV broadcasts a still image and the impression, in James Allan's words, of "something broken, lacking balance". The result is a stunning 45-minute emotional journey that explores different aspects of reality, from difficult relationships to the social focus that has always characterised the band's poetics.

Glasvegas are James Allen (vocals and guitar), cousin Rab Allan on guitar, bassist Paul Donoghue and Jonna Löfgren on percussion.
