Just over two years after their last European tour, the Jon and Roy. The appointment is for Monday 25 March 2019 at Circolo Ohibò, Milan and the tickets will be available on the official circuits Vivaticket e Ticketone (online and point of sale) from 9 a.m. on Saturday 3 November. Admission is only allowed to ARCI card holders. Be wary of unofficial sales channels!
The band will present their latest album live Here, due out in February 2019 (or a month before the tour starts anyway, so fans have time to digest it). Recorded in the woods on the island opposite Vancouver, Canada, during the summer and autumn of 2018, Here fully represents the classic style of the Jon and Roya mix of folk music rooted in the tradition of their land but with international flavours. This disc will contain nine previously unreleased songs, touching on various themes such as love, generational adversity but also joy.
"For me this record is something special," says Jonband member. "It contains all the elements I hold dear and the true expression of our music, we had never made anything so true before. Some of the songs were written last year, others two or even three years ago and they needed time to become what they really needed to be".
I Jon and Roy have a growing global following thanks to international tours alongside artists such as Toots and the Maytals, Slighly Stoopid, Xavier Rudd, Trevor Hall e Buck 65. Their music has also in the past found a place in advertising campaigns for brands such as Volkswagen, Starbucks, ScotiaBank, Ralph Lauren, Bloomingdales and Lululemon. It promises to be an exciting time for them, full of concerts where their music will be heard live. After more than sixty shows around the world, a nomination at the Western Canadian Music Awards and more than 25,000 albums sold worldwide, the Jon and Roy will offer a fantastic live show that finds complete empathy with its audience thanks to magnetic and expressive singing.
