The Scottish band of Saor Patrol returns to Italy on the occasion of Hello Folks - World Session 2019. The appointment is for Wednesday 5 June in the beautiful location of Tittoni Park a Desio (MB).Tickets will be available from from 10 a.m. on Monday 25 March on circuits Vivaticket e Ticketone (online and point of sale). Anyone who has seen the Saor Patrol live can say with certainty that theirs is not a live that is easily forgotten. Pounding drums, bagpipes e guitars electrical they play together in wild, gritty rhythms, listening to them is like catapulting yourself to Scotland. The band is described as tribal rock and its very members like to identify themselves as the Celtic Folk Motörhead!
I Saor Patrol have been active since 1999 and have released 12 studio albums, 3 live albums and 2 compilations. They are also famous for producing and performing tracks chosen for the soundtracks of films such as Braveheart with Mel Gibson, The Gladiator e Robin Hoodboth starring Russell Crowe. For next April they plan to release a new best of entitled The Clan's Favourites (ARC Music, 2019)The double-CD collection will contain the tracks that are dearest to the band's fans, chosen directly by them.
From Gaelic, the name Saor Patrol literally means 'the freedom patrol'The band is in fact famous for being extreme champions of Scottish independence. All its members are volunteers of the The Clanranald Trust for Scotlanda not-for-profit organisation that aims to disseminate culture and protect Scotland's heritage through entertainment, in order to raise funds for humanitarian purposes, such as rebuilding villages. I Saor Patrol will come to Italy with the support of the ethnic festival The Spirit of the Planetwhich, since its foundation, has been working to promote brotherhood and abolish inequality between peoples.
