SUPERSONIC BLUES MACHINE in Italy with Billy F. Gibbons (ZZ Top)

I Supersonic Blues MachineThe band of virtuosos, who work with world-class musicians, is coming to Italy for two dates with a very special friend: Billy F. Gibbons (ZZ Top) will be with them Tuesday 16 July at Carroponte in Sesto San Giovanni (MI) e Friday 20 July at Blues in Villa - Blues & Jazz Festival 2018 in the Park of Villa Varda in Brugnera (PN).

Californisoul (Mascot Label Group/Provogue, 2017) is the latest studio effort by the Supersonic Blues Machine, consisting of Lance Lopez (guitar, vocals, lyrics), Fabrizio Grossi (bass, production, lyrics) and Kenny Aronoff (drums), who were joined for the occasion by heavyweights of the calibre of Eric Gales, Robben Ford e Walter Troutin addition to the already mentioned Billy Gibbons. Talking about the album, Big imagines it as the ideal soundtrack for an imaginary road trip along the Californian coast in the early 1970s. Lance Lopez is front and centre in each piece, his style evoking pleasant memories of the great blues, soul and rock vocalists, including the influence of Bobby 'Blue' Bland, Sly Stone e Greg Allman. Kenny Aronoff is certainly one of the most sought-after drummers on the planet, with collaborations with John Fogerty, BoDeans, Paul McCartney, John Cougar Mellencamp e The Smashing Pumpkinsto name but a few. Fabio Trevesthe Lambrate puma, participated with his harmonica in the song L.O.V.E. and will be a guest at the band's Milan concert on 16 July.
