The extraordinary American guitarist and composer Kaki King adds a new date to its spring tour of the show "The Neck Is A Bridge To The Body".: Saturday 27 May 2016 will be at Riot Studio in Naples. This is the fourth confirmed stage for the artist, who will also be on stage Monday 23 May 2016 will be at Tittoni Park in Desio (MB) to inaugurate the new festival dedicated to star-spangled songwriting Hello Folks Sessions (fruit of the collaboration between Barley Arts e Tittoni Park); Tuesday 24 May at the Parco della Musica in Padua e Wednesday 25 May at the Secci Theatre in Terni within the framework of the Musical Tastings Umbria.
Provocative and moving, surprising and beautiful, "The Neck Is A Bridge To The Body". è Kaki King at its best. The show deconstructs and redefines the role of the solo artist through an extraordinary multimedia performance using the projection mapping, an experimental video projection technique that makes it possible to transform a surface into a screen on which to project video content created from the geometric characteristics of the surface itself. A creation myth unlike any other, in which luminous visions of genesis and death intertwine, will be projected onto an Ovation Adamas 1581-KK Kaki King Signature 6-String acoustic guitar created especially for the occasion.
The project "The Neck Is A Bridge To The Body". is produced in collaboration with Glowing Picturesfamous for her work with the likes of David Byrne & Brian Eno, Beastie Boys, Animal Collective e TV On The Radio. A self-titled album with the soundtrack of the performance was released in March 2015.
