With this album, the Scorpions have unequivocally announced their return to the global hard'n'heavy arena. "Unbreakable" (their twentieth album!!) with its important and imposing title is absolutely didactic in symbolising the indestructibility of the German band returning to the origins of the pure rock that distinguished them.
They themselves wanted to play the instruments the old-fashioned way, music they describe as 'handmade', and expressed a desire to create a bridge that would unite old and new fans. Their long-time producer Erwin Musper compliments them and says that this is the best musical material they have written in the last five years!
It has been a long time since the legendary 'Wind of change' and even longer since the official start of their career back in 1978, but Klaus Meine, Rudolf Schenker and Matthias Jabs do not mind changes and fashions. They believe in their union and in ageless rock. And today they prove it to us again: they enlist bassist Pawel Maciwoda and drummer James Kottak and continue on their victorious path.
