American guitarist KENNY WAYNE SHEPHERD will headline the CHIARI BLUES FESTIVAL

A year after his last concert in our country, the American singer and guitarist returns to Italy Kenny Wayne Shepherd. The appointment for all lovers of American blues is for Sunday 7 July 2019 at Chiari Blues Festival by Chiari (BS). It will be a special occasion not to be missed: before him on stage will be David Grissom, Matt Schofield, Eric Bibb eAna Popovic. Tickets will be available from Tuesday 5 February on channels Vivaticket e Ticketone (online and point of sale).

Kenny Wayne Shepherdoriginally from Louisiana, at the age of seven he replaced the plastic guitar he played with with a Yamaha and began practising as a self-taught musician. Over time, he proved to be so talented that at the age of thirteen he was invited to perform on stage by the blues musician Bryan Lee. Soon afterwards, he started playing at various festivals, getting noticed by Irving Azoff, head of the Giant Recordswho offered him a record contract. Since 1995, Shepherd has released seven singles that entered the US Top 10, scored five Grammy Awards nominationsand wins two Billboard Music Awardsand two Blues Music Awards. Further confirmation of the bluesman's talent comes from the well-known guitar brand Fenderwhich in 2008 launched the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Signature Series Stratocastera model designed by Shepherd himself.

In 2013 Sheperd began a new adventure and, with Stephen Stills and Barry Goldberg, founds the band The Rideswith whom he released two studio albums and toured the world far and wide. This contributed to increasing the popularity of the artist, who over the years had the opportunity to collaborate with artists such as Ringo Starr and with iconic guitarists including Joe Walsh, Warren Haynes and Robert Randolph. Also in this 2019 Kenny Wayne Shepherd will be on tour, first in the US in spring, then in Europe in the following summer months.
