As Daisy the Great Kelley e Mina They play indie rock tinged with folk that embraces a multitude of moods and is capable of being intelligent, devastating and sometimes both at the same time, ranging from harmony-rich folk pop to indie rock ballads.

The pair first met at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts as part of an acting class, during which they wrote a musical together about an imaginary band, only to realise that they could realise what they were conceiving in fiction. Once the creative bond was cemented, the duo became Daisy the Great and then evolved into a six-piece band currently consisting of Matt Lau on guitar, Bernardo Ochoa to the bass, Matti Dunietz to the battery and Brie Archer to choirs. In 2017 they participated in the Tiny Desk Concert with the single The Record Player Songwhich since its release has exceeded 20 million streams and gone viral on TikTok.

The debut LP by Daisy the Great I'm Not Getting Any Healer arrives in 2019 on Paper Moon Records. This work explores the anxieties of those entering adulthood. Since then, the line-up has released the EP Soft Songs (2020) and the more recent single Persephonewhich features on its b-side a fine version of Scarborough Fair by Simon & Garfunkel.

In the summer of 2021 Jack of AJR discovered the band on TikTok and contacted them to rewrite together Record Player. For Kelley the new track is about "identity, impostor syndrome and trying to break free from the version of yourself you've created, either to fit in or to break free from it. I think this phase of experimentation is actually very important to learn about yourself, even if it feels like what you're trying to be doesn't really fit you."

After a summer full of live engagements - including participation in Lollapalooza e Firefly - i Daisy the Greatreleased their second album All You Need is Time last autumn. According to the band, 'the record is about self-perception, love, growing up, patience, goals, change'.
