A little over a year after their participation in the Italian leg of the Sonisphere Festival, the MASTODON return to our country for a single date on 10 December at the Fabrique in Milan. To open the
evening, BIG BUSINESS, a powerful Seattle band under contract with Gold Metal Records, and the KROKODIL, a new English band consisting of former members from projects such as Sikth, Cry For Silence,
Gallows and Hexes.
La BBC called them 'The most ambitious, brave and fun heavy metal band to ever reach mainstream audiences', for Rolling Stone they are 'The greatest metal band of that generation':
No doubt MASTODON with their 'sludge/stoner/alternative metal' (Allmusic) have not gone unnoticed in their 14-year career.
The metal band will present fans with its latest effort, 'Once More 'Round The Sun"which was released on 24 June by Reprise Records and immediately jumped to number six on the US Billboard chart. "La
music keeps demons away"stated guitarist Bill Kelliher, "Once More 'Round The Sun recounts what has happened in the past two years, turbulent enough to say the least". To give
shape the album, the Atlanta-based band decided to hire Nick Raskulinecz, former producer for Alice In Chains, Foo Fighters and Deftones. This is the sixth studio album for the band, the latest in a long line of acclaimed works including the concept 'Leviathan"(Album of the Year 2004 for Kerrang! and Terrorizer) and "The Hunter"(Album of the Year 2011 according to Metal Hammer).
