FESTIVE IRELAND APPROACHES: THE 6 NATIONS ALSO AT THE GOOSE

This is the most recent edition of a festival that in past years has seen the participation of artists of the calibre of Van Morrison, Bob Geldof, Davide Van De Sfroos, The Whisky Priests, Donovan and Modena City Ramblers.

In line with previous editions, also this year CELEBRATING IRELAND offers a rich programme, with concerts by internationally renowned artists and Italian bands with a passion for Ireland.

As always, the main ingredients of the festival in honour of the national patron will be beer, dance and live music.

 

Friday 15 the dances will be opened by a band from Vicenza inspired by Celtic and Breton music, the Rondeau De Fauveland will continue with the famous Tannahill Weavers, Scottish group whose ethno-folk style has achieved worldwide fame.

 

Saturday 16 will be the turn of the Tara School Of Irish Dancea group of dancers and entertainers who will dance on stage and in the audience for the joy of those who want to learn typical Irish dances, accompanied by the overwhelming music of the Italians. Polverfolk. Followed by a live concert with I Luf (a band from Bergamo between tradition, rock and folk) and Anxo Lorenzo, arGalician musician, experimenting with new sounds between traditional and contemporary music.

Finally, for the closing day, before the Kila (famous Irish band that has received praise from Bono Vox and Sinead O'Connor) will play The Lepricornsa folk group that performs live and has a lot of fun.

 

During the three-day festival it will be possible to admire the precious collection of antique musical instruments of the European tradition of Michele Sangineto.

On the day of Sunday 17thhis son Adriano will play the instruments on display to propose a demonstration show of medieval - renaissance and traditional Irish music.

 

The days of Saturday and Sunday include animation and Celtic games for adults and children.

 

 

In the best tradition of IRELAND'S FEAST, on Sunday 17, Saint Patrick's Day, all Patricians will be able to enter the OCA for free.
