For the surfing champion and documentary filmmaker Jack Johnson the year 2005 will certainly be difficult to forget. Let's go back to last February with the release of the Hawaiian artist's third album, "In Between Dreams" his enchanting musical framework of acoustic pop/folk ballads halfway between Ben Harper and Dave Matthews enchants audiences and critics alike, his American concerts are a continuous sell-out, and the first documentaries on his new life as a singer-songwriter are also beginning to be released.
Today, in view of the European tour planned for early 2006, sensational news about ticket sales is already arriving. In England, most of the shows are already sold out, others have been moved to larger venues to meet the high public demand. The 5500 tickets at the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam were sold out within half an hour, while the Vicar Street in Dublin sold out minutes after going on sale.
Even more demonstrative of the success of the European shows was the lack of promotion for these concerts, only announced on the artist and respective promoter's website.
