JOE BASTIANICH: two shows between words and music to present Aka Joe

For him, no introduction is really necessary: Joe Bastianich, the Restaurant Man, will soon be on stage to present his New York Storiestwo shows of music and words accompanying the release of his first album Aka Joe (Decca Records/Universal Music Italy). Appointments to mark in your calendar: Friday 24 January at Largo Venue by Rome e Saturday 25 January 2020 to theEcoteatro by Milan. The two live shows will be special shows where not only the soul of Joe Bastianich musician, but also his more intimate side: the telling of his personal story also through his new recording adventure, the album Aka Joereleased on 20 September. The work, recorded in Los Angeles, explores different genres such as alternative rock, alternative country, American music and finds a place in the contemporary music scene, while proposing sounds related to the rock blues and the funky. Songwriting is a therapy for Bastianichwho declared the presence of his memories in the traces: "Music for me represents the purest expression, the emotion closest to the heart. In this record I have collected the truest essence of my life, the most intimate, between passions, fears, ambitions, love. It tells a lot about me, about what I am, what I have done and what I will do. It is my most personal and unpublished revelation".. The album cover was created by street artist Tvboy (Salvatore Benintende), a well-known exponent of the NeoPop movement.

Joe Bastianich was born in Queens and has always been a profound connoisseur and lover of music, associated with artists such as Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, The Ramones e Rolling Stones. This boundless passion is also evident in the television programmes he has made exclusively for Sky Arte HD, such as On The Roadin which the artist tackled the great Italian popular music, and the narratives of JackOn Tour a journey of discovery through the New York music scene and Tennessee's Music Highway. The artist also boasts theatrical experience Vino Veritaswhich recorded the sold outon all evenings. The show was staged for the first time at the Franco Parenti Theatre in Milan as a residence show, where Bastianich he alternated unreleased memories with tastings of wine from his family winery, accompanied by the songs he wrote for the occasion, which are now collected in Aka Joe.
