JOHN CALE AND HIS CIRCUS...

After spending much of 2006 on the tour undertaken after the publication of "Black acetate, John Cale opens the new year with a double live album. However, the former Velvet Undeground has no intention of stopping. In fact, the new record will soon become a tour, in which all the magic of this double album of yesteryear will be reproduced.
The Italian stage is set in Milan the next 12 April at Rainbow.
'Circus' includes, in addition to tracks from the Welsh musician's recent output, songs from the Velvet Underground period (e.g. 'Venus in furs' o 'Femme fatale') and a couple of covers rearranged for the occasion: "Pablo Picasso'. by Jonathan Richman e 'Heartbreak hotel' by Elvis Presley.
John Cale released his first solo work in 1970 ('Vintage violence'), three years before the dissolution of the Velvet Underground.
