JOHN MAYALL CELEBRATES 80 YEARS WITH A WORLD TOUR IN 2014: 3 DATES IN ITALY

English blues lion John Mayall turns eighty and chooses to celebrate himself in his natural habitat, on stage.
Despite the passage of time, John has never stopped taking his blues around the world, with a fundamental style that has influenced at least three generations of musicians.
The English bluesman arrives with his '80th Anniversary Tour' in concert in Italy for three dates in February 2014, with Rocky Athas (guitar), Greg Rzab (bass) and Jay Davenport (drums).

The performances will be a perfect opportunity to preview the artist's new studio album, 'A Special Life". The album is a testament to Mayall's still dynamic personality and talent, and contains three new songs written by the musician himself and one composed by members of his band, as well as blues classics by great artists, including Albert King e Jimmy Rogers. The disc is also enhanced by the presence on two tracks of CJ Chenierson of the historic Lousiana bluesman Clifton Chenierwho adds value to the work with his voice and accordion.

A Special Life"first disc of unreleased material for John Mayall for the past five years, is a testimony to how the bond between the artist and his band has been consolidated and a must for all fans of the blues of the orgins.
