The undisputed star of UK-made blues, John Mayall, returns to Italy a year after his last concert for two dates in the most beautiful theatres of the two cities elected Italian Capital of Culture (2017 and 2016, respectively): Thursday 23 February 2017 at the Manzoni Theatre in Pistoia (first concert of the 'Pistoia Blues 2017 Previews') e Friday 24 February at the Teatro Sociale in Mantua. With over fifty years of career behind them, it can be said that John Mayall is a piece of British blues history: from the first UK tour openings of such sacred monsters as John Lee Hooker, Sonny Williamson e T-Bone Walker to the formation of the hotbed of talent that were the Bluesbreakers, Mayall has never ceased to mix the worlds of jazz, rock and blues with his guitar, availing himself of prominent co-leaders such as Blue Mitchell, Red Holloway and many others; to crown half a century of music, last May Mayall entered the Blues Hall Of Fame.
