Arriving in Italy from northern Europe is the Koop Oscar Orchestra by Oscar Simonsson for two appointments not to be missed Wednesday 9 November at the Quirinetta Caffè Concerto in Rome e Friday 11 November at Circolo Magnolia in Segrate (MI) . Tickets available on the circuit Ticketone; Admission to the Segrate (MI) concert is reserved to ARCI members. The date scheduled for Thursday 10 November at Locomotiv in Bologna has been cancelled; anyone who had already purchased a ticket for the Bologna leg can request a refund no later than 30 November.
La Koop Oscar Orchestra is the new project by Oscar Simonsson, former founder of the fine Swedish electro jazz duo Koop. Simonsson's small orchestra revisits Koop's signature modern jazz and embarks on an experimental musical journey through classical, electronic, jazz and swing, constantly moving between unreleased tracks and pieces that have made Koop's reputation. The duo has arrived where every musician can hardly succeed: at the heart of the people, thanks to their ability to combine a unique and unprecedented sound with classic songwriting. One success after another with Koop Island Blues at number 1 on the Billboard electronics chart; Strange Love, the bonus track of Coupe de grace is one of the most popular songs.
KOO - Koop Oscar Orchestra - was born from a fortuitous meeting between Simonsson and the Lithuanian singer Jazzuwith which he soon took the decision to start a larger staff. The main mission of KOO is to experience and celebrate the greatness of live music, which can connect people together like nothing else in the world. The band made its first appearance in 2015 and alternates between unreleased material, Koop tunes and a few popular tunes.
