With over sixty years of career, John Mayall is truly one of the pillars of British blues music. Singer-songwriter, pianist, harmonica player and guitarist, in the 1960s he founded the band John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers which becomes a real hotbed of talent as Eric Clapton, Peter Green, Jack Bruce, Mick Taylor, Walter Trout, Coco Montoya e Buddy Whittington.

In 1969, he was attracted to the climate and culture of the West Coast, Mayall decided to move to Los Angeles for good and started forming bands with American musicians. Over the next three decades, Mayall acquires further prestige thanks to its numerous innovations in the fields of jazz, rock and blues together with prominent artists such as Blue Mitchell, Red Holloway, Larry Taylor e Harvey Mandel. The popularity of Mayall continues to grow with a series of albums including the Grammy Awards Wake Up Call with important features such as Buddy Guy, Mavis Staples, Albert Collins e Mick Taylor.

In 2008 Mayall decides to definitively shelve the Bluesbreakers and begins a new journey with a new band consisting of Rocky Athas on guitar, Jay Davenport to the battery and Greg Rzab on bass. In 2019 he welcomes in the line-up Carolyn Wonderlandthe first woman to play lead guitar in the bands of Mayallwho has now decided to devote herself to other projects and has been replaced by Melvin Taylor, who began his career performing on Chicago's famous Maxwell Street in the 1970s and will also appear on the new album by Mayallscheduled for release in 2022.
