Contrary to what was initially announced, the special guests of the Blackberry Smoke will not be the Steel Woods but the Read Southall BandOklahoma-based band that recently released their third studio album For The Birds. The only opportunity to see the two bands together in Italy is confirmed for Monday 7 February 2022 at Alcatraz in Milanand it is possible to purchase the tickets on circuits Ticketmaster, Ticketone e Vivaticket.
For The Birds is an ambitious work that combines robust rock'n'roll energy with elements of country and Southern rock. Ranging from classic to contemporary rock, the Read Southall Band will surely appeal to fans of Gary Stewart, Joe Walsh, Rival Sons o Chris Cornell.
Throughout their career the Blackberry Smoke have embodied the rich musical tradition of Georgia, honouring the people, places and sounds of their homeland. This love for Georgia has grown even deeper over time, and the band celebrates this year its 20th birthday.
In You Hear Georgiawhich comes three years after Find A Light, i Blackberry Smoke celebrate their origins with ten new tracks that sound as Georgia, also thanks to the collaboration of the producer - and fellow countryman - Dave Cobbwho worked with the band for ten days in RCA Studio A in Nashville. The album features special guests such as Warren Haynes (All Rise Again), Jamey Johnson (Lonesome for a Livin') e Rickey Medlocke of Lynyrd Skynyrdco-author of Old Scarecrow.
