The Eels will soon be in Italy with a double date: Sunday 1 September, on stage at the September Prato is a spectacle at cathedral square a Meadow, together with the Flaming Lips; e Monday 2 September at Magnolia Club by Segrate (MI). For the Milan leg, before them on stage will be the synthpop duo of Chaos Chaos; Asya e Chloe Saavedra, their two sisters, started making music at a very young age in Seattle, before moving to New York City. Their genre combines elements of post rock at baroque popin a electronic vortex e colourednever banal: the lyrics are powerful and full of social references, from feminism to freedom of expression. Their latest self-produced album of the same title Chaos Chaos came out last year.
The Eels set off on an incredible tour last April, date after date, one hit after another, they are criss-crossing the US from east to west and will arrive in Europe at the end of August and in our country in September. The band formed in 1995 in California and since then the line-up has undergone several changes. Mark Oliver Everett aka Mr. E, frontman and soul of the band, called his "only music" and recently added that "the world is a mess. Change starts in your garden and I am optimistic enough to believe that this simple thought can change the world."
With reference to The Deconstruction (EWorks - PIAS, 2018), the band's twelfth album, Mr. E stated: "I hope you enjoy our latest work. There are 15 Eels tracks that may or may not inspire some good rock! If you know how to find it, there is so much beauty. Sometimes you don't even have to look for it, sometimes you have to dig deep."
