Luciano Ligabue has decided to take part in LIVE 8, to be held on 2 July in Rome, by performing a couple of tracks in an acoustic version. "The tight and pressing work deadlines (the Emilian rocker is in the delicate final phase of the production of his new album of unreleased songs, due out on 16 September, and is preparing for the demanding concert he will hold on 10 September at Campovolo in Reggio Emilia) had discouraged his participation in the event promoted by Bob Geldof,' says Claudio Maioli, the artist's manager - but then Ligabue, despite his pressing commitments, decided to give his own contribution, in the conditions that are possible for him (voice and guitar), to the good cause of Live 8'.
From London Bob Geldof declares to ANSA :
'This is the spirit of Live 8,' Geldof said, 'Pink Floyd, Ligabue and Madonna, among others, have captured its essence. Thank you Ligabue'.
