Recently Who Knows, the first album by Luca Sapio And Capiozzo & Mecco Band, released by Ali Buma Ye! Records, distributed in Italy by Audioglobe and in Europe by Rough Trade (with digital distribution by Orchard), was awarded the Pimi -Medimex prize as 'disc of the year' and the SIAE prize as 'independent disc of the year', now it's time for the first concerts in Germany!
Luca Sapio and his musicians will present their 'Italian soul' in mid-February with three concerts that will be staged in some important German clubs.
All this is anticipated by 13 February, when the band will take part in the shwocase of RTSI, Switzerland's Rete 3 in Lugano.
The next day it will be the turn of Indra, Hamburg's historic club where the Beatles made their debut. The German tour will then continue at the Bassy Club in Berlin and will reach Frankfurt's Zoom on Sunday 17 February.
For several weeks now, 'How Did We Loose It', the first single from Who Knows, has been part of the chart that includes the most played songs on German radio stations, the album was premiered in 'full streaming' on the Rolling Stone magazine website, it has been enthusiastically received by specialised websites and blogs, and further reviews will be published in the coming weeks by various magazines and newspapers.
Germany has also discovered the soul, direct, immediate, as much tied to the tradition of this style as projected forward, which pervades Who Knows, a work that was produced by Thomas 'TNT' Brenneck, a leading figure in the black sound of today.
The question is always the same: who will stop Luca Sapio and his musicians? Who KNows...
