Now, Seattle duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis will also sell out at the Mediolanum Forum in Assago for their only Italian stop in 2013, on 9 October. We remind you that all tickets purchased for the Alcatraz are still valid for the Forum Parterre.
The hip-hop duo, even before their two singles 'Can't Hold Us' and 'Thrift Shop' made a name for themselves in the United States with their electrifying shows, cleverly constructed sound, innovative videos, and alternative media used to reach the general public. The announcement of their tour and the subsequent rush for tickets not only in Italy, but in most of Europe, confirmed this show as one of the most anticipated events of the international hip hop season. After years of hard work, always followed by a solid and devoted fanbase, in 2012 they were included in the list of the most interesting bands of the scene by the famous trade magazine XXL and their success soared.The first single 'Thrift shop' was number 1 on the Billboard charts for many weeks and has sold over 6 million copies, the video on YouTube has been viewed almost 500 million times to date! "Same love", a song and video in favour of marriage equality, galvanised young fans and led to the duo performing at the highly acclaimed THE ELLEN DeGENERES SHOW. This same song was also chosen as the new single in Italy, accompanied by the subtitled video, released on 27 September.The summer single, 'Can't Hold Us', also topped the Billboard charts and has already sold 2.5 million copies to date.
