MADNESS, the great ska back in Italy in July!

Back from tour Can't Touch Us Now European Vacationwhich kicked off last October from Live in Trezzo sull'Adda (MI) to continue to the Gran Teatro Geox in Padua and the rest of Europe, the Madness announce a new concert in Italy, more precisely at the Sullasabbia Festival at the Beky Bay in Bellaria-Igea Marina (RN) Thursday 19 July. I tickets will be available on Vivaticket (online and points of sale) from 11 a.m. on Tuesday 27 February and on Ticketone from 10 a.m. on Tuesday 6 March.

Can't Touch Us Now is just the latest in a series of exciting years for the Madness: recorded over three weeks at Toe Rag Studios, it was produced by Clive Langer - a long-time sidekick of the band and creator of Madness' career highs - and Liam Watson, who won a Grammy for his work on Elephant of White Stripes. Tracks such as Mr Apples, Mumbo Jumbo, Blackbird and the same Can't Touch Us Now manage to fully capture the combination of pop, reggae and soul that has made the band inimitable. As is often the case with the most successful albums by the MadnessThe lyrics are a humorous slice of London reality.

With their usual irreverent sense of humour, the band presented the new album by answering questions from some of their most ardent fans: guests of the Royal Hospital of Chelsea. More than thirty war veterans peppered the band with questions about the state of music and the nation, Amy Winehouse, how to survive the record market and how to sneak into a Madness gig for free...
