Coming to Italy for the first time as a headliner Matt Simonsthe American singer-songwriter and author of the worldwide hit Catch & Releasewith a single date Wednesday 26 October at Circolo Magnolia in Segrate (MI). Tickets will be available from 11 a.m. on Thursday 19 May on circuit TicketOne and related sales outlets; an Arci membership card will be required for access to the concert, which can also be signed on the evening at the venue.
Matt Simons began to make headlines in 2012 with the release of the independent album Piecessoon achieving unexpected popularity in the Netherlands through the single With Youwhich was chosen as the soundtrack for one of the most important local soap operas and even led him to cover the role of guest judge for the Netherlands' X-Factor. However, the big international success came in 2015 thanks to the single Catch & Releasetitle track of his second album, and its remix by the Dutch duo Deependclimbing the charts all over the world and becoming one of the most played tracks on the major national radio networks in Italy.
Music has always been a family tradition for Matt SimonsHis grandparents were professional opera singers, while his father introduced him to the Beatles and classical music from an early age. In addition to playing keyboards and piano, Matt Simons graduated as a jazz saxophonist from Purchase College Conservatory in New York. It is, in short, from this entire soundscape that the pieces in his repertoire come to life: "I will never lose that influence", declares the singer-songwriter, "I started with jazz, those rhythms and structures became ingrained in me. Now my goal is to continue writing songs that can really make an impact'.
