To celebrate the return of live music, we are pleased to announce a date that promises to be a must-see for lovers of good music made in the USA. Wednesday 1 September 2021 the stage set up in the courtyard of Milan's Castello Sforzesco for the Sforza Summer will host two exceptional bands: opening the dances will be Joe Bastianichfor the first time accompanied by the Neapolitan folk/bluegrass ensemble The Third Classfollowed by the pianist and rock'n'roll performer Matthew Lee who will host in his band the well-known blues guitarist Gennaro Porcelli. I tickets for this unmissable evening in Milan will be available from 4pm today, Thursday 27 May, on the sales circuit Mailticket.
Matthew Lee is a charismatic performer, composer, singer and pianist with extraordinary virtuosity, a unique crooner on the national scene. He represents the pride of the rock'n'roll and swing spirit, as well as of the Italian singer-songwriter song inspired by the stars and stripes world of the 1950s, which finds its place among the virtuosity of Liberace, the rock soul of Jerry Lee Lewis, the style of Ray Charles, the sentiment of Frank Sinatra, the universality of Elvis Presley and the acrobatic pianism of Renato Carosone. In his career he has over 1200 concerts in festivals, squares and theatres all over the world and 7 published albums (the latest of which, Rock & Love, published for Decca / Universal at 2020). A frequent television guest on the national RAI and Mediaset networks, he has been appreciated for his performances and shows of the highest level, capable of igniting audiences, even in just a handful of minutes.
Joe Bastianich, The Restaurant ManHe was born in Queens and from an early age he was passionate about music, listening to everything from Led Zeppelin at Ramones via David Bowie and the Rolling Stones. This boundless passion is also evident in the television programmes he has made exclusively for Sky Arte HD, including On The Roadin which the artist was confronted with the great Italian popular music and had the opportunity to get to know The Third Classa folk and bluegrass band born in 2012 on the streets of Naples and featured on the popular American TV show Music City Roots and then the semi-finals of the 2016 Italian edition of Italy's Got Talent. Enchanted by the extraordinary talent of the band, Bastianich has decided to embark on a tour with them during summer 2021 that will stop in Milan and many other Italian cities.
