IN MILAN FREE TRANSPORT FOR THOSE WITH CONCERT TICKETS
AND VEHICLE UPGRADING EVEN BEYOND MIDNIGHT: AN INITIATIVE TESTED ON AN EXPERIMENTAL BASIS THANKS TO THE JOINT EFFORT OF ATM, THE MILAN CITY COUNCIL AND BARLEY ARTS

THURSDAY 7 JUNE 2012 - MILAN, SAN SIRO

The Municipality of Milan, in collaboration with ATM and Barley Arts, has set up a system to allow free use of surface vehicles and the underground for those who have purchased a ticket for the Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band concert, scheduled for 7 June at the San Siro Stadium. The operation, which is being tested on an experimental basis for the first time on the occasion of this concert, will allow ticket holders to travel free of charge on ATM vehicles all day Thursday until the end of the transport service, which for the occasion will be enhanced both in terms of the number of available rides and the timetable, extended on the M1 red line, with 6 additional rides departing from Lotto station between 0.30 and 1.00 and heading to the Sesto FS terminus.

But here are all the details of the initiative, which represents a strong signal of welcome from the city of Milan, towards the 60,000 people who will have to reach the San Siro Stadium and then leave it at the end of the concert, with the least possible impact on the road system.

Concert tickets entitle the holder to travel on the underground, buses and trams in urban areas, excluding the Passante Ferroviario, all day on Thursday 7 June. For the underground, it is necessary to collect the ticket free of charge from ATM ticket machines, by typing in the fiscal seal printed on each ticket, a unique 16-character alphanumeric code, preceded by the letters SF, while on surface transport it is sufficient to show the original concert ticket, which is valid as a ticket.

ATM's daily urban ticket can be collected from any ATM vending machine on the Milan underground line as of MONDAY 4 JUNE. Every day until 7 June, from 2.00 p.m. it will be possible to collect the ticket linked to tickets purchased by 11.59 p.m. on the previous day.

Not even the last buyers will be discriminated against, although at the moment there are less than 2,000 coupons still available for the Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band concert at San Siro, and all of them are unnumbered Third Ring tickets: those who buy them on 7 June at the points of sale will be able to use them to travel on surface transport, and at the Stadium ticket office they will receive a ticket valid for the return journey on the entire ATM urban network.

Finally, those who made their purchase via the web on Ticketone.it, choosing the "pick-up at the event venue" option (approximately 4000 people), will receive an e-mail from Customer Service with the Fiscal Seal relating to their ticket and will then be able to collect their ATM ticket according to the same procedure as those who already have a paper ticket in hand.

It is also worth mentioning the joint effort by Atm and the Municipality of Milan to increase the number of vehicles which, during the 5.00 p.m. - 9.00 a.m. and midnight - 2.00 a.m. time slots, concern tram line 16 with shuttles between Segesta-Duomo and back, bus connection line 16 Segesta - Axum, Circular 90 and 91, shuttles from the Bisceglie and Molino Dorino car parks to the stadium and the shuttle from Piazzale Lotto to the stadium. In addition, between 00.30 and 1.00 a.m. from Piazzale Lotto's M1 station there will be no less than 6 extraordinary runs to the Sesto FS terminus. Lastly, the night-time replacement surface line of the M1 is also available, with the last running from Lotto at around 1.10 am.
Please note that the free ticket allows you to use urban public transport, so it is valid up to the urban limit of the M1 line (Sesto Marelli).

All detailed information is also available on the concert information material distributed at the San Siro Stadium and also briefly in digital format on Barley channels.
