After the great success of the summer concerts at Fabrique in Milan, Teatro Antico in Taormina (ME) and Arena della Regina in Cattolica (RN) and the next three dates in the palasport of Milan, Rome and Florence, Barley Arts announces now a new, special live date of MIKA!
On 24 October at the Teatro Sociale in Como, Mika will revisit his repertoire of hits and new songs in a symphonic key with the "AFFINIS CONSORT" orchestra conducted by SIMON LECLERC. Pre-sales for the extraordinary evening will start on Thursday 1 October.
Born from Mika's desire to replicate in Italy the incredible experience of the three symphony concerts held in Montréal last February, this concert-event will be an opportunity to confirm the artist's versatility and the quality of her pop repertoire, also in a classical vein.. As in Montreal, Simon Leclerc will conduct the Como concert with an orchestra created especially for the occasion and made up of 81 international professionals: 65 instrumentalists and 16 choristers.
Simon Leclerc is an established Paramount soundtrack composer and Canadian conductor who Mika has entrusted with the classical arrangement of his repertoire. After the Montreal concerts, Mika enthusiastically declared: "Coming from a professional classical background myself, it's extraordinary for me to hear my songs in the classical guise that Simon has given them, because in my mind, I always imagined them that way!"
