New album and one-off Italian date for BLACKBERRY SMOKE, in Milan on 11 March!

After summer successes in Rome and Milan, the southern rock of the Blackberry Smokand returns to Italy for a single date: Saturday 11 March 2017 at Fabrique in Milan. I tickets will be available on the Ticketone (online and at points of sale) from 10 a.m. on Wednesday 19 October 2016.

I Blackberry Smoke can hardly keep their hands off: the new album "Like An Arrow" has only been out for three days and the band is already ready to present it worldwide with a long series of shows, including the Italian date. The songs on this latest release demonstrate how this authentic American rock band has a constant desire to challenge itself with new ideas, sounds and unexplored musical territories. "We are perfectly in tune as to what we want to explore," says singer and songwriter Charlie Starr. "We could never record the same album over and over again, although there are fans who would appreciate it: it would be too obvious. If the Beatles or Led Zeppelin had thought like that, we wouldn't love them so much today'.

"Like An Arrow" continues the path started with the two previous albums, 'The Whippoorwill' (2012) e 'Holding All The Roses' (2015). It opens with the heaviest track so far written by Blackberry Smoke and explores British rock before making stops at hallowed venues such as Macon, Woodstock, Muscle Shoals and Tulsa, with Starr and his bandmates following in the footsteps of such musical mainstays as JJ Cale, The Allman Brothers Band and many others. This desire to experiment has pervaded the quintet's entire career since its debut in 2001. The working-class ethos and jam session attitude of Charlie Starr (vocals and guitar), Paul Jackson (guitar), Brandon Still (keyboards), Brit Turner (drums) and Richard Turner (bass) has led the band to have a hard core of fans that continues to grow concert after concert, with an average of 250 shows per year.
