Opening act by BROEN for MAMMÚT's only Italian date

From Iceland comes to Italy the Mammút: the appointment is Sunday 29 October at the Serraglio in Milan. Opening for the Icelandic band will be the Broen. Tickets for the concert are available on the official circuits Ticketone e VivaticketAdmission allowed for ACSI card holders.

Icelandic bands are always a force of nature and the Mammút are by no means the exception. Their new album, Kinder Versions, due out on 14 July via Bella Union, is exactly the kind of volcanic energy that is missing from 21st century rock. Memmút's sound is free of any definition, unpredictable, new and at the same time with a touch of psychedelia, a style that was developed almost unconsciously: without ever discussing what kind of music they wanted to make, Mammút simply followed their instincts. Breath into me is the first single that has already earned critical and public acclaim.

I Mammút are Katrína Mogensen on vocals, Alexandra Baldursdóttir and Arnar Pétursson on guitars, Ása Dýradóttir on bass and Andri Bjartur Jakobsson on drums. The band won the Músíktilraunir 'battle of the bands' and received nominations and awards at the Icelandic Music Awards: their third album Komdu til Mín Svarta Systir won three of the eight nominations it received in 2014. Now, with Katrina singing in English, the chances for the world to get to know Mammút's music are growing.

I Broen are a young Norwegian band that has gained critical and public acclaim in a very short time. Broen's strength lies in ignoring any genre convention to create a unique sound that combines elements of R'n'B, rap, jazz, improvisation, psychedelia, dub and electronica.
