La Kalush Orchestra is a Ukrainian music group formed in 2019. It consists of rapper Oleh Psyuk, musician Ihor Didenčuk and MC KylymMen. They won, as the Kalush Orchestra, the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, representing Ukraine with the song Stefania. The Kaluš-born line-up signed a record contract with Come True, a division of Sony Entertainment, in November 2019 after releasing the single Ty honyš. The label released the debut studio album Hotincontaining both Horya collaboration with Al'ona Al'ona awarded the YUNA, the leading national music award, to the best hip hop hit, that radio success Zori, with which they touched the Ukrainian top five. The LP's popularity throughout the year resulted in six nominations and two statuettes won in YUNA. Jo-jo, an EP recorded together with Skofka, was released in July 2021. In 2022, they were selected by the Nacional'na Suspil'na Teleradiokompanija Ukraïny as participants under the name Kalush Orchestra in Vidbir, the selection deciding the Ukrainian representative in the Eurovision Song Contest, with the song Stefania, number one in both Lithuania and Ukraine. In the evening, where they received the highest score from the televote, they placed 2nd out of eight participants, ceding victory to Alina Paš with her Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors. Following the withdrawal of Paš due to a dispute, the Kalush were internally selected by the Ukrainian broadcaster responsible for the country's Eurovision participation, UA:PBC, as national representatives in Turin. The group's performance initially made it through the semifinals and managed to bring home their third national triumph in the event's final. Over the next few months, the Kalush embarked on a tour to raise funds to support the Ukrainian army during the Russian invasion of Ukraine with stops set in both Europe and North America.
